You would think having a light at the end of the tunnel would make the trip at least a little more hopeful. But no...our class had to make it challenging to the end. Even though we only had to survive two more days before we would be relieved of the non stop energy, it was two of the longest days ever! Thursday immediately started off as a challenge! Kids were running and yelling, hurting each other and more. My lead and I were found hopelessly staring at each other as our students ran laps around us.
As a desperate attempt to control the situation, we decided to break up the group and have me take half of the kids on a nature walk and the other half stay in the classroom with my lead. For the most part it worked. It was a little tricky at times trying to handle the rowdy group on my own, but for the most part it went well. The only bad thing was, I was stuck standing out in the cold rain all morning and consequently ended the day with a sore throat and a frozen body.
At that point it was hard to tell if I was getting sick yet again or if the stress was getting to me that much. Either way, standing out in the cold rain didn't help my mood.
Frankly, my Pickle, I don't give a damn!
